Stade Louis-II

Perched in the Fontvieille district of Monaco, Stade Louis-II has served as the fortress of AS Monaco since 1985. The stadium replaced the original Stade Louis-II, which stood near the harbour, and was built on land reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea. Its name honours Prince Louis II, who reigned from 1922 to 1949.
