Perched into a granite quarry face on the Monte do Castro hill, Estádio Municipal de Braga is one of European football’s most visually arresting grounds. Opened in 2003 for UEFA Euro 2004, the stadium was designed by the renowned Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, who won the Pritzker Prize for his work.
